The 1984 UNLV Rebels football team was an American football team that represented the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) as a member of the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA) during the 1984 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their third year under head coach Harvey Hyde, the Rebels compiled an overall record of 11âÂÂ2 record with a mark of 7âÂÂ0 in conference play, winning the PCAA title. UNLV earned a berth in the California Bowl, where Rebels lost to Toledo. The team played home games at the Sam Boyd Silver Bowl in Whitney, Nevada.
In March 1985, the NCAA forced UNLV to forfeit all of its victories from their 1983 and 1984 seasons due to playing with ineligible players.
