The 1954 Chicago Cardinals season marked the 35th year the team was in the National Football League (NFL). While the team improved on their previous season of 1âÂÂ10âÂÂ1 by winning two games, they failed to qualify for the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season.
In 1954 the Cardinals became the first NFL team in history to allow 30 or more points in each of its first five games in a season.
