The 1948 Tulane Green Wave football team was an American football team that represented Tulane University as a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) during the 1948 college football season. In its third year under head coach Henry Frnka, Tulane compiled a 9âÂÂ1 record (5âÂÂ1 in conference games), finished third in the SEC, outscored opponents by a total of 207 to 60, and was ranked No. 13 in the final AP poll.
Fullback Eddie Price won first-team honors from both the Associated Press (AP) and United Press (UP) on the 1948 All-SEC football team. Tackle Paul Lea was named to the first team by the AP and the second team by the UP.
The Green Wave played its home games at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans.
