The 1929 New York Giants season was the franchise's 47th season. The team finished in third place in the National League with an 84âÂÂ67 record, 13ý games behind the Chicago Cubs. In a home game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 5 at the Polo Grounds, the Giants used the first public address system to be used in a major league ballpark.
